托福阅读中推断题，是很多学生所恐惧的一类题型。但其实，它并没有那么可怕，只要清晰考察的内容和正确解决办法，正确回答是没有问题的。接下来，进入正题。

首先，要认识请出标志性的题干（这里老师发现有许多小伙伴，做题的时候，还没有意识到自己在做推断题）。题目中，常会出现的关键词：infer，imply， most likely, probably, suggest，indicate 等。

其次，锁定题干中关键信息。

最后，根据文章的内容，对信息进行内容正向结性推断和否定性推断。

我们，共同看一道比较难的推断题目为例看一下。

TPO11第一篇的Ancient Egytian sculpture的第2题。

Paragraph 1：In order to understand ancient Egyptian art, it is vital to know as much as possible of theelite Egyptians'view of the world and the functions and contexts of the art produced for them.Without this knowledge we can appreciateonly the formal content of Egyptian art, and we will fail to understand why it was produced or the concepts that shaped it andcaused it to adopt its distinctive forms. In fact, a lack of understanding concerning the purposes of Egyptianart has often led it to be compared unfavorably with the art of other cultures: Why did the Egyptiansnot develop sculpture in which the body turned and twisted through space like classical Greekstatuary? Why do the artists seem to get left and right confused? And why did they not discover thegeometric perspective as European artists did in theRenaissance? The answer to such questions hasnothing to do with a lack of skill or imagination on the part of Egyptian artists and everything to do with the purposes for which they wereproducing their art.

2.Paragraph 1 suggests that one reason Egyptian art is viewed less favorably than other art is that Egyptian art lacks

根据，咱们上面提到的步骤，咱们看一下这道题目。

首先，题干中，明显的suggest（暗示）提示我们这就是推断题了。

其次，我们就要在题干中找关键信息。题干，suggest后面，问的是原因reason ,而reason后面从句在解释reason，这个原因是 Egyptian less favorable than other art,句子的谓语动词是lacks，这样我们就要回到原文着，Egyptian art less favorable ，lack的地方。

最后，看到原文的时候，锁定第三句：In fact, a lack of understanding concerning the purposes of Egyptianart has often led it to be compared unfavorably with the art of other cultures: Why did the Egytians not develop sculpture in which the body turned and twisted through space like classical Greek statuary? 然后，并没有直接对应选项的内容。这个时候，我就要运用排出法和符合同义改写，双管齐下。

解析：

A 选项中，并未提及到body proportion ，错误。B选项中，varing sizes 也没有提到，同样错误。C选项， originality 独创性，也是原文未提及。D选项中，同义改写比较大了。文中说到not develop sculpture in which the body turned and twisted through space like classical Greek statuary?  这里turn and twist就是身体上的变动，所以对应D选项中的in motion。

你看，这样一道难度有五颗星的题目，咱们也可以轻松解决，剩下的推断题，也就按照此思路继续往下练习。
